2 days in Copenhagen...

We're arriving late on a Thursday night and staying until Sunday, then headed to Marslet for a weekend of "country" life. Suggestions for a place to stay? We're leaning towards the Strand hotel to be a bit removed from the train station chaos around Tivoli but want to ensure it's easy to access everything! What should we do in a short visit? Thanks for any ideas!

You could see if Hotel Bethel has any room but they are highly rated and inexpensive, therefore you usually need to book in advance. They are right on the Nyhavn Canal, making that place perfectly located and so scenic.

I like the Strand. It's a good four blocks to the Metro in Kongens Nytorv but that's a much better part of the city than down by the Train Station - cleaner, quieter and some good sights in the area (boat tour, Rosenborg, Amalienborg).

Anything in Central Copenhagen is easy access to about everything there.

Just got back from a Scandinavia trip. Bethel is the best deal and best location, but you need to book it well in advance. We also stayed in Norreport (Kong Arthur) - it is quite their and a quick S-train or Metro ride to the main train station.

Can't overstate the awesome location, price, and staff experience at Bethel!
