My adult daughter and I will be flying in to Copenhagen (from LAX) in the afternoon one day, and leaving by train early in the morning the next day. I don't see Denmark listed under the hotels and restaurants section, so am asking in this forum... Any recommendations for a decent hotel that's not crazy expensive in Copenhagen? Since we'll be leaving by train around 7 a.m. the next day it would probably be best if it was fairly close to the main train station. Thanks
Jbarnescm,
If you want adventure, look at the Cabinn- city. Its about 2 blocks from the train station.
Im not sure what your version of "crazy expensive" is in terms of US Dollars or DKKs. So i will let you do some homework and conversions on it to see if it meets your criteria.
Thats the only place i stayed at in CPH so far. It was clean, convenient and was within my budget.
happy trails.
I was in Copenhagen last year and stayed at Hotel Alexandra on H.C. Andersen Blvd. Good, clean hotel and it's about a 12 minute walk to the train station. In-between you'll walk near the main entrance to Tivoli Gardens (good place to visit the night you're there!) A double room (twins) for 1 night (flex rate = can cancel up to 1 day out) now shows for 1156 DKK ($215) which is about as good as you can get in expensive Copenhagen. Don't go for the breakfast at the hotel .... there's a McDonald's across from Tivoli you can't miss; cheaper and better than the hotel's.

We stayed at the Radisson BLU Royal Hotel, Copenhagen. It is right across the street from Tivoli. It is right next to the train station. It is a very nice hotel. We were high up, overlooking the street. There wasn't any noise. We could see the fireworks at Tivoli every night. It was a lovely hotel. The restaurant is kind of expensive for breakfast though. We also stayed at the Hotel Alexandria during a visit. Someone above recommended that hotel also.
