Walking Tours in Rome

At the end of our recent Mediterranean cruise, we stayed in Rome for two extra days. We had made arrangements for private tours with a company called Through Eternity Tours and they really came through for us. They arranged their Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peters tour one day, and the next we were taken to the Colosseum and Forum during the day, then the Twilight Rome tour in the evening. They also arranged for us to be picked up and delivered back to our hotel in a mini-bus driven by a very professional driver who was always on time.
I would highly recommend any of their tours, they have a wonderful website and were delightful and very prompt via email prior to our trip with any questions we had. They will give you precise quotes, times for tours, specific arrangements designed for your needs. We had a few in our group who had a little trouble with all the walking, thus the need to be transported back and forth via the mini-bus and while on the tours, our guides kept this in mind and took frequent breaks for resting, while enjoying a glass of wine or a cup of coffee.
I want to especially praise, Thomas, our guide to the Colosseum and Forum. He made us feel life we were walking with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony through the Forum in the year 44 BC. He really brought history alive.
Kudos to the whole company!

In 2012, we took their "Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica In-Depth Experience" tour. The guide was excellent and it was one of the best tours we've ever taken.
