What is the best way to visit Selinunte while staying in Palermo, without renting a car?

The bus is probably the best way without a car but you will get your absolute best advice on tripadvisor. Vagabonda is a contributor to their Sicily forums and she is THE person who will be able to help you figure it out. Other folks with great ideas will probably jump in, too. We rented a car when we were there this past December/January. My opinion, not that you asked, is that Segesta is hands down a better site to visit than Selinunte - and it's closer to Palermo. We visited Agrigento, Selinunte, Syracusa, Taormina and Segesta and if we were to visit again and tour one temple/site, Segesta would be my choice. Have fun, Velda
