Update to Schlinder Factory in Krakow

There is no publishing date in my Snapshot of Krakow, Warsaw and Gdansk. I knew from the book to sign up online for a tour of the Schindler Factory at www.mhk.pl/branches/oskar-schindlers-factory. What I didn't realize until I arrived in Poland in August 2015 is that they require a 3-day advance booking. You can show up, of course, and try your luck at getting into the museum. I signed up for a tour in English. When I got to the museum, I was told they do not have tours.

If you are over 60, you qualify for a discount here and at many other museums in Poland.

We visited the Schindler in 2012. It is an excellent museum and easily manageable on one's own without a tour. We spent close to 3 hours, and could easily have spent 5 had we arrived earlier.

I did forget to add that I was perfectly fine without a tour. The signs are in Polish and English and it is a very moving exhibit that includes a film

I agree, no need for a tour. I spent a good 3 hours there, the exhibits were very well-done and plenty of English signage, no trouble understanding any of it. Definitely a highlight of visiting Krakow.

To find the publishing date, check the second-to-last page (not the beginning of the book, where publishing dates used to be).
