Taking a Capri Boat Tours

Hello,

Husband and I will be leaving for Italy in 2 weeks. We are interested in taking a boat trip from Capri. Does anyone have any experience with the boat companies? I have used specific search engines such as capri.net and trip advisor but obviously just looking at pictures and reviews. Here are the one's with most reviews and are affordable. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Do you see any with a reference to Captain Ago? I don't know the name of his company. We did a Mondo tour to Capri in Apr, 2018, with him, and it was great. Mondo contracts with different Capri boat owners, so it was the luck of the draw that we got him. I've stayed in Sorrento a couple of times, and the owner of the B&B where I stay thinks Captain Ago is the best.

So I looked at the Mondo tours with options of 1000€ for 2 people for Capri and boat. I prefer to tour the island myself and the hydrofoil is just 77€ round trip for the both of us.

I will look again but that is the cheapest I see for Mondo. The others I will take a peek after work.

Thank u!

Circling the island by boat with a Mondo tour was probably my favorite part. Liked Anacapri, especially the church with the Majolica floor, but Capri town is pretty much a touristy mess. If you want to go in the Blue Grotto, you still need to find an additional boat trip. Factor all of this into your decision. After I considered every thing, the Mondo tour seemed something of a deal. If you're not interested in the Blue Grotto, maybe not. But the timing for getting in the BG can be a little complicated, and our boat captain seemed to know the best time to make it happen. (I'm usually not a big fan of uber-touristy sites like the Blue Grotto, but loved it!)

Forgot to add this: with the Mondo tour we did the cruise around the island first. They had sandwiches and drinks on the boat for us, which saved time for more exploring without taking time to sit in a restaurant. Then we were on our own for about 4 hours before the boat would leave. It was a beautiful yacht with antique teak decking, and there were only about twelve of us on board plus two crew. I sound like I'm advertising for Mondo Tours, LOL, but I've taken the ferry over on my own, and thought this was really better, for not much more money.
