I'm planning on staying in the Wolfgangsee area a few days and will visit all three towns. But I want to stay overnight in the town that has the best restaurants. In which town should I stay?

We spent a day in this area in Sept & St Wolfgang impressed us most. Strobl seemed to shut down before 2pm so we ended up finding a nice cafe in St. Wolfgang for a late lunch. Did not make it to St.Gilpen.

We stayed in St. Wolfgang for two nights during the month of September two years ago and loved our time there. We saw some posters of their town during the winter months - so special! There were several nice restaurants to choose from in the cute village.
