My hubby and I are heading to Italy this month for the very first time.
We are driving to Salerno (Vietri Sul Mare) from Umbria and staying for 3 nights, so we will have 2 full days to tour Amalfi. We don't want to use the car once we arrive, so we are looking for suggestions for tours that will allow us to see the highlights of the Amalfi Coast and area. Should we do a land tour one day and boat tour the next? Any suggestions for reliable guides, tours, etc. We would appreciate any and all suggestions. Thanks!

AFAIK the only way to get to/from Vietri Sul Mare is by road . . . either driving or by bus. The bus route from Salerno to Amalfi stops there. It's 15 minutes to Salerno, an hour to Amalfi, according to the SITA schedule. To get to the ferries, you'd need to go to Salerno.
