Interested to know if anyone has done any local tours on their free day in Rovinj? We are going in May and are looking at either an electric bike tour or a day trip to surrounding villages. Any thoughts on just wandering around in Rovinj.
We were there on a RS tour. The town itself is very cool. We were just content to hang out in town--many local artisans, amazing fresh fish, and cafes. An ebike tour sounds fun--something we would do-- I'm not sure what you would see unless it took you along the coast. I remember there were alot of family farms around the area. A sunset ocean boat ride was part of our tour and it was a fun way to see the Adriatic, dolphins, and the town from a distance.
I took a bus tour to "Inland Croatia" back in 2015, but it ran only one day a week, so the odds you'd be able to take it are not good. The tour went to Motovun, Groznjan, a winery, and a museum. The scenery along the way was nice.
I also took a public bus to tiny Vrsar and colorful Porec. I didn't go to Pula, but it has some Roman ruins and is also accessible by public bus.
