Rome - Colosseum & Forum - Stefania Luttazi was excellent to work with!

We had 2 days on our own in Rome before our Southern Italy tour, and we wanted to tour the Colosseum & Forum. From visiting it 11 yrs ago on my RS Venice-Florence-Rome tour, I knew my husband & I would have a much better & valuable visit going with a local guide vs just walking around ourselves. Thru recommendations from trusted sources, I connected with Stefania Lutazzi ([email protected] & [email protected]). She is excellent, from our initial contact and various emails up to and during the 4 hour tour on April 6, 2026. There were IT problems with the Colosseum ticket site in the weeks before our visit, and I was never able to successfully buy tickets in advance. Stefania was very responsive & communicative, with timely & detailed guidance and she also told me her fellow guides had clients who were having problems too - reassuring so I knew it wasn't just me. She went above-and-beyond to help me get the advance entry tickets we needed, as we only had 1 day as an option to visit (Our prior free day was Easter & the Colosseum was not open.) Stefania arrived promptly at our hotel and shared interesting info, both historical and current, as the 3 of us walked over to the Forum. She had suggested from our 1st communications that we visit the Forum first, then the Colosseum, to avoid long waits to enter. SO smart! She took us in thru a little-known (to tourists) entry gate & we began our amazing Forum visit, then on to the Colosseum. Stefania is very experienced and knowledgeable, and our tour with her met and exceeded all our hopes. She brought the history alive, and shared the perfect amount of information...making it relevant and also weaving in current day info, which both my husband & I found extremely engaging. I highly recommend Stefania Luttazi as a local guide in Rome, whether it's your first time or a repeat visit. Besides the obvious Colosseum & Forum sites, she is well prepared to guide visitors to any attractions in Rome that they're interested it. She is very responsive, timely and accurate in both her communications & the tour activities. The 4 hours we spent with Stefania were the perfect kick-off to our RS Southern Italy trip experience!
