I am interested in reading reccomendations on tour guides in paris. Wanting to take a walking tour in Montmartre- nothing too heavy on history- more culture, art, food, stories about the area and artists, Just an interesting and fun few hours..
Any feedback is appreciated
Thank you
Do you think you want a group or a private tour?
Paris-walks.com is my go to for walking tours. They do one in Montmartre but I don’t remember which day. If the group day doesnt work you can book them for a private tour although it’s pricey.
I used Paris Greeters when I was there in May.
It is a non-profit and they do not charge but request a donation.
This might work for you. Check them out.
We took the Eating Paris/Montmartre (Eating Europe) food tour in June and really enjoyed it. Our excellent guide focused on local culture as well as food and we learned a lot about both. The tour included a fair amount of walking. Montmartre was very quiet in the morning at the start of our tour, which was an added bonus. (If you decide to do an Eating Europe tour of any sort, typing RICKSTEVES into the discount code box will save you 10%.)
