In Normandie, France over the summer, we booked a 1/2 day tour with Overlord Tours to visit the D-day sights. It was an incredibly good tour. The bus was comfortable. Remy, our guide, was very knowledgable and gave us many facts through stories. It was totally captivating and memorable. There was just enough time to do some walking and exploring at each site on our own. We debated about a full-day tour, but I think the 1/2 day tour was right for us. It's a long half-day, and we learned so much we did not need more to experience the area. Our 2 sons, 12 and 15, also enjoyed and appreciated the tour, and a full-day might have been too much for them.

Our guide Thierry gave 4 of us (adults) an excellent private educational tour of the D-day landing beaches and cemetery in Normandy. Due to our cruise schedule our tour was a bit shortened and started late. Thierry adjusted to this without any apparent difficulty. The van was comfortable. Thierry is obviously passionate and remarkably knowledgeable about the history. His English and communication skills were excellent as well.

We had Thierry as our guide 2 yrs ago. He was wonderful! We often don’t remember our guide’s names…but we still talk about him! We did a full day tour and one of our most memorable!

My son and I also had Thierry for a full day tour with 1/2 day in a Willy's Jeep. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

We did a full day with Overlord Tours in Normandie and it truly was one of the best tours I have ever experienced. Outstanding guide and so incredibly informative. Fantastic and memorable. AS long as your kids aren't too little go for the full day. My son was 15 and he loved the entire day. Worth every penny, we recommend them to everyone we know going here.
