We will be spending 1 1/2 days in Locarno. Our primary reason for staying here is to attend an outdoor concert in the evening. Can anyone recommend a short 1/2 day sightseeing plan.

Take a ferry south on Lake Maggiore into Italy to Stresa. Take a boat out to the Borromean Islands there. Take your passport along.
