Jurassic Coast - UK

Has anyone used a tour guide when visiting the Jurassic Coast? My grandson is dino obsessed 8 year old.

There are buses that operate along this coast. Here is a link to a previous year. You will need to find up to date information when the summer season is starting. Also Google ‘You Tube Jurassic Coaster’ .

You would probably get more responses by listing this under England in the forum.

I’ve been to Lyme Regis. Drove from Heathrow.

Some intel about Lyme Regis and the Dino museum.

Lyme Regis is hilly. I stayed in an Air BnB ( no longer available) and took a river walk into town.
At the time not well signed. During my 3 night stay learned it was easier to follow the roads to town.

The beach is rocky NOT sandy.

Adorable pet store called Pug and Puffin.

Enjoyable ( off the beaten path ) pub called the Nags Head which is across the road from St Michael & St George Catholic Church. As I’ve mentioned in Forum replies over the years I always light a candle for my mother, thus my seeking a Catholic Church.

If still in operation Rollys had marvelous fudge. Herbies take away near the harbor had great fish and chips.

The walk on the Cobb about the harbor was pleasant.

Loved the Sanctuary Bookstore in the Old Town.

Museum closed till March… new exhibits being installed. The museum was very well done when I went.

Did find a small ammonite fossil on the beach . The part of the coast to the right of The Cobb. Monmouth beach if memory serves.
