Italy guides and excursions

Hello,

I am looking for reputable guides for Milan and Cinque Terre. It can be small or large groups too.

wgroup,
I have used Walks of Italy several times and have been very pleased with them. In Milan, I did a walking tour of the historic center which included a ticket to The Last Supper. It was a small group, 15 - 20 people. Also, did a Walks of Italy tour of the Brera Art Gallery with a different guide of the art collection, totally fascinating. Only 3 people in that group! Also, did a cooking class with them in Rome.

Highly recommend them.

You do not need a guide for the Cinque Terre! They are five tiny picturesque villages with vineyards and waterfront settings( except high up Corniglia) Hike, eat, drink and enjoy!

I agree with Suki about the lack of need of guides for the Cinque Terre. You do need sturdy boots and I highly recommend a lunch in a trattoria for a rest along the way.

Rick sometimes has guide suggestions in his books. Marta in Rome, for example, is fabulous. (Actually I'm not sure he recommends her. She may work for him part time).
