Jeremy Minsberg, of The Berlin Expert, https://www.theberlinexpert.com/, is a wonderful guide for Berlin. We hired him to take us around the first day of our only 3 day trip there so we could see the highlights. We spend over 5 hours with Jeremy and learned all about the good, the bad, and the ugly of the history of Berlin. It was fascinating and well worth hiring him. We walked almost 8 miles with him around the city center. It was a very leisurely pace, so we never felt rushed or winded (he does offer tours that utilizing transportation if walking is not your thing).
Make sure you have him take you to Sammy's Berliner Donuts - they were the best!

Thanks for your report. Jeremy always gets great reviews from people who do tours with him. I've never done a tour with him, but hope to do one some day. I'm sure he appreciates you giving him such a positive review in a public forum. Hope you had a great time in Berlin -- it's my favorite city!

I recommend Jeremy all the time too. He is super passionate about Berlin and really knows his stuff, besides being very personable and funny.
