I will be visiting Highclere from London. I know I take a train to Newbury, worried if there will be a cab available to and from Highclere available, afraid of getting stuck if too many people are doing same thing. Will be alone so nervous about it. Anyone have the experience?

If you look at Highclere Castle’s own website, on the section called Planning Your Visit they recommend a number of local taxi firms with phone numbers and websites. There’s one called Broadway Cars that offers a set rate for the journey. I agree with Emma’s recommendation to pre-book one. The local taxi firms will be well used to this journey.
