Just want to put in a good word for Peter Carney who leads a fascinating all-day tour of Hadrian’s Wall in northern England. Peter is a retired high school history teacher and he is a fount of knowledge when it comes to the history of the Roman Empire. Peter picked us up at the Haltwhistle train station and spent the next eight hours giving us a very thorough exposure to the background, the building and the demise of this far northern region of the Roman Empire. Fascinating day! I highly recommend!

Another fan of Peter here. He took me on a similar day-trip from Haltwhistle in 2016. I learned a lot and would highly recommend him to anyone.
