Great Guide in Rome

I want to recommend a tremendous guide in Rome. We got her name from Rick’s guide book for Italy. She is Carla Zaia. Her email address is carlaromeguide@gmail.com. She communicates almost exclusively by email. Four of us hired her to guide us through St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museum, the Colosseum, Pantheon, the fountains at night and the Roman Forum. We are in our 70’s and suffering with various knee surgeries and back problems. She managed to cover all the highlights in a way that was manageable for us. She found elevators, took little breaks to rest and got us through the challenges of touring Rome with humor and a tremendous amount of information. She is a native Roman who loves her city and has an endless knowledge of the history, architecture, culture and impact of the Roman Empire on the world. She is organized and responsive and pointed us toward got restaurants and experiences we would have missed on our own. You can’t go wrong!
