Four Thumbs Up for Mondo Guide

My husband and I recently returned from a trip that included 5 days in Barcelona and an 8 day cruise which hit many ports in Italy and one in Spain and one in France. By far, the BEST tour/excursion we took on the entire vacation was the 8-hour private driving tour we booked through Vincenzo of Mondo Guide (at the recommendation of Rick's Italy Guide Book). My husband's need for a mobility scooter severely limits any excursions we can book on most cruise lines so we have gotten pretty savvy about looking around for other ways to see new places in our travels.

Eddy, our driver/guide for the Amalfi Coast Tour, was the best we have ever had. He was personable, kind, knowledgeable, engaging and just delightful! He drove and talked for 8 solid hours... well, 7 if you give him the hour off while we relaxed in the piazza in Ravello. We learned a lot of the history of Italy and he focused mainly on Naples and the Amalfi Coast. It was obvious to us that this company had spent a bit of time tailoring this drive for Bob's needs. We had expressed interest in a particular town to visit but when we got into the van Eddy briefly explained why he wanted to take us to Ravello instead and asked us to hold our judgement until we were done. (He was right!) When he discovered our love of limoncello he extended our drive to include Sorrento and a quick stop at a limoncello factory. And because of his knowledge of the area we were able to see the entire Amalfi Coast, from top to bottom!

We will go back to Italy and we will book as many tours as possible with Mondo Guide. They are an amazing group of people, and I want to thank Rick for introducing them to us!

Very glad you had such a good time on this tour! You two were traveling with a number of difficult challenges and it's so impressive that you didn't let them keep you from a big adventure. Well done! 👍

So glad to see this post!

Early this morning I sent Vincenzo an email saying we had decided to book with Mondo for our transfer Naples-Pompeii (w/guided tour)-Rome in October. After waffling on whether to go by train, or rent a car for the day, I decided that since Pompeii is a bucket-list item for my husband, and we're spending the night in Naples between Sicily and Rome specifically to visit Pompeii (and the Archeology Museum. And eat pizza), we should make it as easy and stress-free as possible.

Now I definitely think it's the right decision for us.
