My husband and I and another couple had a great experience with our Guided Walking Tour in Dresden last month. Liane Richter met us and spent two hours teaching us about the highlights and history of this beautiful city. Dresden is situated so well for a 2-hour walking tour, as most of the highlights are in the same vicinity. Her command of the English language is excellent and she is a good historical and artistic guide. Even better, she grew up in Eastern Germany and offers a historical perspective that is appreciated.

We had relatives in Dresden that left for Ellis Island on the last U.S. ship to leave Germany (from Hamburg.). The German government took over the family business and it was time to leave.
Dresden was Europe:s most beautiful city until allied bombings at the end of WWII, and has finally been somewhat rebuilt in recent years.
It is a city just off the beaten path for some trave!ers and a city well worth visiting with incredible art and museums.
