DDay Tour from Bayeux

My family had a fantastic experience last month with Overlord Tours. Our guide Steve communicated with me ahead of time and was able to completely tailor the tour with my senior parents and aunt to places my Grandpa would have been as a Canadian medic in WWII. He arranged for us to see Canada House at Juno Beach and thanks to some research on his part, we were also able to see a local house the Canadian Field Ambulance corps used in a small town as a dressing station. It was an unforgettable day and he was extremely knowledgeable an expert in all things WWII. Would highly recommend a private tour for any group of 4 or more - price wise not a huge difference and so worth it to be able to go at your own pace and have a dedicated guide.

Thanks for this review. They really seem to be a top-notch opération.

I tell everyone that the money you spend for a professional guide for a visit to the sites associated with the Normandy landings will pay itself back manyfold. It looks expensive on paper -- but it enhances the experience immeasurably.

I am so glad you had the privilege of seeing places tied to your own grandfather's service there. That must have been quite something !!

I'm so glad you had a great tour with Steve and Overlord. Juno Beach is amazing - and often overlooked by Americans.

IMHO, a group of 4 is the sweet spot for taking a private tour as opposed to a small group.
