Day trip into France from Strasbourg?

Can anyone recommend a company that does a quality day trip from Strasbourg into France? And what did you see and do on the trip? We would be going the last week of September. Thank you!

Strasbourg is in France. Guessing you mean day tours from there?

Strasbourg is in France. I suggest you amend your message to indicate where in France you want to visit.

Colmar is about a half hour away by train, and is a lovely town.

Hello, Thank your for your comments. Here is some clarification. I was aware that Strasbourg is in France but I was hoping to preclude suggestions of day trips from Strasbourg east into Germany because we already have plans to visit several places in the Black Forest. However, I have no idea where we might visit if we travelled farther into France from Strasbourg. We'd appreciate something with a different flavor than what we'll experience in the Black Forest. While I speak some German, I have no experience with French and think I would prefer an organized day trip. However if we can reach a place easily by train and use English I'd consider that too. Thank you for your suggestions!

Dear two for

We took a day tour last year with Ophorus tours of the Alsace region. They have a couple of tours leaving from the TI office near the Cathedral in Strasbourg. One tour is a visit to several wineries on the Route du Vin and the other which we took was called Pearls of the Alsace and was a tour of small towns and villages including Colmar and Equishiem, and Riqhwhir, a great castle and a stop at a winery in Ribeauville. Only eight per tour and it is a fantastic way of visiting the villages in that region. You can make reservations on their website. www.ophorus.com
They also have tours in different parts of France but click on "day tours" to see the Alsace tours pop up.
I had gotten their information originally from the Strasbourg Tourism website.

Hope you enjoy Strasbourg. We thought it was a lovely city.

Anyway that my two cents.

Two for

I just remembered if you do book the Ophorus tours make sure your credit card company is aware before you book the tour. I tried to use my Wells Fargo Visa (even went thru a verification on line) but it was denied because as it turned out, the transaction is coming from France, so Wells Fargo thought someone was using my card in France. Since I hadn't informed them, the transaction was denied. In fact the next day, Wells Fargo called my husband about it and my dear husband informed them that we were not in France and my card was cancelled . It ruined my day of shopping.

I did use a different credit card to book the tour (B of A, I think,) that was accepted without any drama.

Anyway just a heads up.
