cinque terra tours

Hi, I'm looking for a good tour company to take us from Florence to Cinque Terre for a day excursion. There are a lot available, but not sure which is best for the money. We are wanting to go March 27, which eliminates a few companies. Some don't start until April. I'm hoping to find one where a guide stays with us to explain the history and point things out.

Thanks for your help.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with how those tours operate and I don't think any staff here have ever taken one. Since the five towns of the Cinque Terre are small and well connected by regional train (as well as boats in high season), they are relatively easy to explore on your own. Rick's Italy guidebook includes about 80 pages of info (including hotels, which you probably won't read).

Hi tmielke,

We had such a tour from Florence to the Cinque Terre last fall.

We had a fantastic experience with Ricardo, our driver of Italy Cruises Private Tours , who picked us up at our hotel in Florence and drove us to Riomagiore, the first village .

We could visit it while he was waiting for us and then he kept driving us to Manarola, the second town, Vernazza ( the fourth) and Corniglia for Lunch .

Great place, the little restaurant he took us to, called Tinola!

We returned to Florence around 08.00 p.m.

You cannot be wrong with them, getting in touch through: info@italycruisesprivatetours.com
