Best Tour Guide in Madrid. Federico

Frederico as recommended in Rick Steves Barcelona book turned out to be the best tour guide I have ever had. I travel extensively and during the past two years have hired guides in China, Peru and Bolivia. I thought I had hired the best but Federico was beyond good. He has the ability to select the most important information and bring that to life. When he started our tour of the Palacio Real in Madrid, we sat on a bench to get an overview than then he announced,"I am Carlos III and I am going to take you on a tour of my palace," He brought the art, history and architecture to life I still remember so many details of what he told us. We also had him the next day for the Prado and Reina Sofia where Picasso's Guernica is located. He outdid himself there also. He told us to call him anytime with questions or if he could help in anyway during our stay. He even walked with us to Antocha, the train station, to help us buy tickets for our trip the next day to Toledo. Everything he recommended from a tour guide in Barcelona and Toledo, restauansts, flamenco shows etc were outstanding. It costs a little more to have a private guide but with all the costs involved with traveling...this extra is worth it. We got front of the line entrance to all venues and he met us at our hotel and escorted us everyday. I felt like a queen. He is wonderful
