Athens Guide

We hired a local guide last week for a day and half tour of Athens based on recommendations from this travel forum. Her name is Faye Georgiou and we were very pleased with the experience. Faye is a Phd with over 50 years working as a licensed guide and she brought us a deep understanding of her city and its extensive history. We asked her to develop a tour for a day and a half and she recommended the National Archeological Museum for two hours and then the following day we were met at our hotel by her and a driver who took us to the Olympic Stadium and then into the mountains to the Kaisarian Monastery. We then went part way up Mount Lycabettus for a panoramic view of the city before leaving our driver in the Plaka where we had lunch with Faye and then toured the Acropolis Museum before climbing the Acropolis. Faye uses audio headsets to make it easy to hear her in crowded spaces. She has a witty sense of humor and we enjoyed her side stories throughout the day. I would not hesitate to recommend her for anyone visiting Athens. She can tailor your experience based on your preferences. You can reach out to her via email at fayegeorgiou@yahoo.gr.

We had Faye as our guide when we visited the Acropolis during our RS Greece tour. She was phenomenal. Interesting, thorough and very engaging.
Lucky you to get her for a day and a 1/2!
