Taking my first trip to Prague. Lots of great music but I am wondering from those who have been what was your favorite venue visually and acoustically? Thanks!
We only went to one venue as we based it on what was going to be performed. We very much enjoyed the Klementinum. It doesn't seat many either, so the venue felt very intimate.
This depends on your tastes. If you are you a serious classical music aficionado, then the choices are the Rudolfinium for orchestral concerts, and either the National Theater or the Estates Theater for opera (Mozart's Don Giovanni premiered there in the 18th century). If you just want to see the venue and the music is secondary that important, then the Obneci Dun (Municipal House) for the art nouveau building or the various church concerts come to mind.
Rudolfinum is my favorite. Beautiful performance hall. Very good acoustics. Excellent performances.
