I assume you are talking about the Jewish sites? We were there for Yom Kippur a few years ago. We didn’t get into any of the Jewish sites - the synagogues or the Jewish Museum - they were all closed.

We found plenty of other things to do though so it was fine.

Jewish holidays begin a bit before sundown and end a bit after sundown. All Jewish sights in the Jewish quarter (synagogues, museums, cemetery) are closed on the holidays and Shabbat (sabbath day). They are usually open until about 1 pm on the eve. If it's Sunday some may not open that day.

This year, Rosh Hashana is Sept 25-27, Yom Kippur is Oct 4-5. Next year, Rosh Hashana is Sept 15-17, Yom Kippur is Sept 24-25.

Succot (Festival of Booths) begins 4 days after Yom Kippur and lasts for 9 days. The first 2 and last 2 full days are also holidays so sights will be closed for 2-1/2 days each as well.
