I will be in Prague in a few weeks and was wandering anyone knew of any yarn shops?
There is on in the Dejvice area just off the main roundabout (Metro stop right there), can't remember the actual street but I did pass by it a few weeks ago, I will try and find it.Might be worth asking on the Ex-pat website.I won't be back in Prague till mid October.

this might help.
There is a yarn shop on Level -2 of the Palladium shopping centre. The name escapes me, but it is on the right as you approach the shopping centre from the Namesti Republiky metro concourse. Very central; you can't miss it.

Hi! I live in Prague and am an experienced knitter. Like you, I check out the yarn stores in every city I visit. (I was in Norway and Sweden over the summer and was in heaven!) I have bad news for you: Prague is not a city where you can go to wonderful yarn stores and browse. There used to be three lovely, small yarn stores here, but they have all closed (they're now online-only). The yarn store in Palladium is fine for cheaper yarns--I use them all the time--but it's not really a place to see pretty, interesting yarn, and they don't have patterns or English-speaking staff that could help you select yarn for a project. The Palladium store looks more like a small fabric store in the US with some yarn at the front. The yarn department on the 4th floor of Kotva is similar: lots of inexpensive yarns and supplies, but nothing all that interesting. I don't recommend the store near the roundabout in Dejvice--the ladies who work there don't let you touch the yarn! It's all kept behind a counter! Sorry to be so disappointing.
