My husband and I will be in Prague in September. I'm wondering which sites I would be advised to purchase tickets for in advance in order to get in on the day I want, and if possible, to avoid long ticket lines. To start, I'm wondering about tickets to the Prague Castle Complex and the Lobkowicz Palace, as well as the Mucha Museum and the Jewish Quarter. I have already purchased some concert tickets. Thank you
None of these places require booking in advance. You can buy Castle and Jewish Quarter tickets in advance but be aware that you will need to print pre-bought Castle tickets. I might do this for the Castle if you plan on going there at the weekend or early afternoon. For anything else I would buy on the day.
Particularly for the castle, if you are there early there tend to be no or small lines.
The Municipal House (Obecni Dum) is an Art Nouveau masterpiece. As of 2018, English-language tours were not very frequent, and there didn't seem to be any schedule info on line. Buying tickets a bit ahead of time was recommended. I think I walked over in the morning of the day I hoped to take the tour to check the timing of the English tour and buy the ticket, but I had enough time in Prague to be a bit flexible.
