Where to cool off in nature for a few days near Prague?

I will be taking my 17yo daughter to Europe this summer and meeting up with my cousin. My cousin and I are both older females and not terribly fit.

We’ll go to Prague around the last week of June. After a several days exploring Prague, I hope to find somewhere not too far away to spend a few relaxing days surrounded by nature. We currently live in the tropics, and after having spent a couple weeks in Greece, we will NOT be looking for a place in the sun. The cooler the better. Also, we are NOT looking for a hiking trip or a camping trip. I just want to sit still and do nothing for a few days, surrounded by beauty.

I lived in Prague almost 30 years ago, and I know there is Karlovy Vary, but my daughter refuses to participate in anything spa-like. Also, I'm thinking something a little less urban but not too remote.

Thanks in advance.

My favourites have always been south-east of the country so places like Palava and Mikulov where you can chill whilst drinking the local Moravian wine but that's not "near" Prague. As you mentioned Karlovy Vary then equi-distant i.e. about a 90 minute drive from central Prague to the north, is Liberec which takes you up into the mountains. Normally you'd stay on the low side and hike to the views but, there are many scenic places to stay and others which are accessible by taxi or ski-lift.

I just came across your posting while I was looking for some answers about an upcoming trip. Perhaps by now you have found your oasis in nature for your June trip to Prague. If not, you might wish to check
PRUHONICE PARK just outside of Prague. https://www.pruhonickypark.cz/en/
I read review after review that extolled the beauty, calm and peace of the park. There are reviews that tell how to get there (seems pretty easy and not a long way).
