Visiting Prague from Dec 27-30

Greetings. We (two adults) will be in Prague during the dates Dec 27-30. We are asking for any advice, suggestions, etc of special events taking place or businesses open/closed. What to do/ what not to do. We enjoy walking and meeting locals. Would like to make the most of this short visit. Thank you.

Prague is beautiful during the holiday season, and all businesses will be open on the days you are here. You should be sure to visit the Christmas markets, which are all over the city. I would also recommend attending a concert, because Prague has such a strong tradition of classical music, and the musicians here--even the ones you hear playing on the street--are excellent. You can get same-day tickets to a tourist concert in any of the big churches or at Lobkowicz Palace (at the Castle). These concerts are about an hour long and feature "greatest hits," and I can assure you that you will be impressed by the skill and enthusiasm of the musicians. If you go to this link, you will see list of concerts: https://www.pragueexperience.com/opera-concerts/opera-concerts.asp?EventYear=2016&EventMonth=12&offset=200 You would only need to book the Municipal House concert in advance; the rest you could just buy tickets on the same day. Prague is a highly walkable city, but be sure to bring good walking shoes, because the cobblestones can be extra-slippery in the snow!
