Vienna to Prague/Terezin Concentration Camp

Hello -- we will be traveling from Vienna to Prague by Train in April and would like to visit the Terezin Concentration Camp. Is there a way to get there directly by the train from Vienna or do we need to go to Prague then out to the camp? Thanks very much in advance.

You'd do best to take a tour company's bus out to the sight. The nearest train station is 2 miles, and that makes for a long walk.

If you'll Google "terezin concentration camp", the names of the tour companies are shown on the first page. They take 5-7 hour trips, and the guides are supposed to be very good.

You go first to Prague and then from Prague to TCC.

I took a local bus from Prague as a day trip. The bus stops first at the fortress, then continues to the town center. I started at the fortress, then walked (about 10-15 minutes) to the walled town and was pleased it worked out that way. There is much to see in the town itself, but don't skip the fortress. If you go directly from Vienna to Terezin, what are you going to do with your luggage?
