As soon as you hit Prague, take one of the Free Walking Tours where the guides work for tips. It'll give you a good view of the places to see and where good restaurants are.

We also hit their Nightlife Tour the same night which was a great time with great people from all over the world.

Purchase Rick Steves 11th edition Prague & the Czech Republic guidebook and buy the hard copy not digital because you’ll get more out if. Make sure you check this site for updates before departure: https://www.ricksteves.com/europe/guidebook-updates.
Sleep in the old town so you’ll be situated in the heart of this crowded fairy tale city. If you buy Rick’s book, take the three self-guided walking tours he recommends so you don’t miss the main attractions that include the Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, Jewish Quarter and St. Vitus Cathedral plus more.

Where else are you traveling from Prague? You have ten more days after one week.

Suki, it’s Sept. 23 - Oct. 1, so with travel about a week.

Buy a travel pass for the trams and busses. See the castle area. Check out the Astronomical Clock. Go up the tower beside the clock for views of Prague. See if there are any opera/concert performances while you are there. The small Mucha Museum. Visit the Jewish Cemetery and Pinkas Synagogue. Take a tour with Jason at https://www.livingpraguetours.com/

Enjoy!
