I understand the Synagogue and neighboring former school still exists. Is it open to the public or private residence? Any way to see the inside? Thank you in advance.
Only the exterior of the building is original. The interior was ripped out during WW2 and then the building was converted to residential housing. Technically the synagogue and adjacent buildings are owned by the Prague Jewish Community and any artefacts relating to the synagogue are recorded in the Trebon War Collection held by the Jewish Museum in Prague. So any access has to be arranged by kehilaprag.cz.
Thank you for that information. I thought I had read that the ceiling decorations in the upper level were still intact.
