We are four adults who want to travel from Brno to Auschwitz and then to Krakow in June. Please recommend transportation. Thanks.
Have you used VisitBus for transportation?
You're better off going to Krakow first (and then using it as a base for Auschwitz) because a city makes for a more natural base. Most bus transport in Europe is city-to-city to maximize passenger count. Check directly on Flixbus (see below link) - it has direct service between the two cities. I don't think you need a third party like VisitBus (unless you prefer to pay more for a small minibus)...you can get to Auschwitz just using public transport.
Agnes,
Thank you for the information on the bus. Do you have any recommendations on accommodations in Krakow?
No, I stayed in an apartment with family a few years ago, which I don't remember. I would suggest looking at www.booking.com. You'll see a lot of charming properties. Krakow is very small so you don't need to stay smack in the main square, unless you want to pay accordingly (and deal with noise). There should be a large selection of walkable properties, either in Krakow or the former Jewish district of Kazimierz.
Download the Krakow In Your Pocket Guide pdf off the web...it's helpful.

I agree with Agnes. Go to Krakow first. If that won't work for some reason the most convenient public transport connection (fast and only one train change) seems to be this one: Train leaves Brno Hlavni nadrazi (Main Train Station) at 11:02, arrives in Bohumin 13:33, you change trains there, Train leaves Bohumin 14:19, arrives in Auschwitz 15:46. Polish name Oswiecim. You will find plenty other connections here: http://www.idos.cz . You can switch it to English.
Your Kraków hotel will likely be able to arrange a tour to Auschwitz. There seemed to be plenty of operators offering them. We stayed at Hotel Columbus in Kazimierz area. It was short walk to old town area. Ask for a room not on street side (tram).
