Hi i'm cipri I really need some advise, we are planning to go for our honeymoon at early november start from paris to prague(praha) by plane and then from Prague to vienna by train and then from vienna to innsbruck and our last trip is to lucerne. Will there be any problem traveling by train ? Or should i just go by bus? I heard many refugee are coming and the custom in that certain city are closed. They said it is not recommended to go now, is it true? Any comments and advises are really appreciate. Thank you.

I checked at www.oebb.at, the Austrian Railway company. They are showing normal service between Prague and Vienna. They also say that the trains between Vienna and Innsbruck are taking the normal short cut through Germany via Rosenheim. The local rail link between Salzburg and Freilassing is not operating.
The situation could change. Who knows?

I'm less worried. I thought it would be a problem going by train from prague to vienna. Some people suggest me going by bus. What do you think is it better go by train or bus from prague to vienna?

Well I prefer trains over buses. Much more comfortable. Bus would be a back-up plan if something did come up regarding trains. You can get up to date information at www.oebb.at. You may need to use google translate as the details of the notifications are in German.
