tour guide in Prague

Hi Friends !
I am here in Prague. I am finishing 5 wonderful days. We used Jason, from LivingPrague.com. He is British living here 23 yeaers now.We were the only two. He normally takes up to six. We had a grand time. Learned SO SO SO MUCH. I just cannot thank him enough. He slowed to my pace and took extra time on the tour for all my photos, answered questions. Incredibly knowledgeable. I was thrilled. It made all the difference for me. Just wanted to share. Because I am just so happy right now in Prague. It is such a serene and tranquil city. I will definitely come back to visit cesky krumlov for two nights. Hope you all get to visit. And those that come here, have made a fabulous choice.
Take care eveyone

Glad you enjoyed the tour with Jason, he is a lovely guy and someone I have been happy to call my friend for many years, long before he became a full time guide. I meet up with him regularly and will be seeing him next month when I am in the city.he always seems to find new streets and great info on the places we walk by that I after 20 odd years of visiting the city know nothing about.
really pleased you are enjoying Prague.

We just took a tour with Jason today. Have to concur...a nice guy who accommodated us in the most congenial way, gave an in-depth & interesting tour through the old town square, the Jewish quarter & hidden courtyards. Modestly priced as well. Two thumbs up!

Well your timing couldn't be better - thank you for this wonderful resource share. I've been trying to settle on how I'll spend my very short time in Prague to maximize the experience so have just booked a morning tour with Jason. I am suddenly feeling much more excited and less overwhelmed by trying to prioritize and organize. Thanks again for the thoughtful share!

What really moved me, was that my girlfriend and I were the only ones for that tour. He did it nonetheless without the number he really needs. And the tour was not diminished in any way. It was a private tour really and he was happy to share

We just did two tours with Jason. He’s fantastic. I like the small group theme. We could hear him well and learned a lot.

I am so happy to know this. He has great respect for the culture and history of the Czech Republic. He has enormous respect for the people as well. And he wants to impart that on his tours. He is very proud of this country. Thank you for sharing your experience. Take care. This is really a great forum.

Hi. We are going to be in Prague for 5 days in July. As helpful as this recommendation might be, it would be nice to have some context as to cost.

Jason's website says: for less than the price of a T-Shirt you can do a tour with me in Native English and it’s limited to 6 people.

I guess it depends on where you buy tshirts - but having some sense of cost would be helpful, which his website does not provide.

For those of you that took the tour - knowing at least the rate you've paid would be helpful.

Thanks.

I was in Prague recently and following the advice from others who post to the forums booked two of Jason’s tours. They both cost 395 koruna which you see when you click on the tour name. Both of the tours were excellent and Jason is an engaging, friendly person who shares his love of the city with you and enough information so that you don’t feel overwhelmed. I highly recommend him.

Visiting Prague for the first time later this year and have bookmarked LivingPrague tours to book nearer the time. The prices certainly look reasonable, especially if they still run when underbooked. Can I ask if you added an extra tip on the day to the guide and if yes, what are the going rates for tour guide tips in Prague. Thanks.

Hi there. Yes, I definitely gave a tip. I think it was high, I don't remember, but I was just so over the top that I was happy to give him what I felt. But I can say, I feel that he will be grateful for whatever you give. He just a content fun loving guy.

Also, I do not know what the going rates are, as I only took the tours with Jason from LIvingPrague. Sorry I have no experience with that

Hello,

I've been trying to reach Wittman Tours for a tour of Jewish sites. After two emails and a phone call -- still no reply (they answered the phone and said they would get back to me, but never responded to emails). Does anyone know how reliable they are? The reviews seem excellent but... Pavel Batel's company couldn't guarantee I would get Pavel. How were the other tour guides who work for him?

Thanks!
