well the long awaited top burger in Prague is announced and for me quite a surprise ,never been in Mr Hotdog as the one and only time I went to try it was closed. Not the easiest place to find for your average tourist mind you none of the best places are.
The Tavern at # 10 has always been a place I visit with friends if we want a burger hit and at #6 U Kurelu a sister pub to the Tavern is a great place and has two distinct advantages over the Tavern in that it tends to have a better selection of craft beers and that you can book tables there. Again both these places are a good bit off the tourist radar and might take a bit of work to find but worth the visit.

can I make a special mention for Argument at Kulaťák farmers market, coming in at#21. Now I have never had a burger there but whenever I am in Prague I head to the framers markets at Kulatak right outside the Dejvicka metro ,a great start to any Saturday in the city, get your breakfast or lunch there and there is always a few beer taps , coffee stands and wine stalls around , nobody seems to mind folk having a beer at 9.00am along with their breakfast.

One of the best burgers of my life was at Dish in Vinohrady a few years ago. Everything about that day exploring the area was amazing.

Unclegus,

A group of us are travelling to Prague in September and will likely be staying at the Jury's Inn. It's been a while since I visited Prague so I'd be interested in some recommendations for good pubs that offer a range of craft beers and that are likely to be bereft of hordes of British stag groups. Your extensive insight will be most welcome.

Cheers!

don't worry about British stag groups in the city not many of them about these days and they are limited to just a few places.
Pivovarsky Klub is not far from Jury's quite small but they always have 6 beer taps on rotation and numerous bottled beers, food is good in there too. been poured out of that place on more than one occasion.Get back to me nearer the time you are going and I can try and help with a few drinking/eating places. I should be back in Prague in April just waiting on other folk confirming dates. some great micro breweries including one on a boat that will be walkable from Jury's.

We visited Prague for the first time last spring, ate at Mr. Hotdog our first night there and loved it! The food, wine and service were all exceptional. (Wine at Mr. Hotdog?! - yes! - actually it was prosecco, as I recall.)
