I am working.I work for a University medical school/ research facility and am quite busy.(yes we are involved in Covid 19 work)
my trip to Prague was cancelled several weeks ago, I have had my refund for my hotel and am awaiting a refund for my flight and should have that in the next week or so.
I have done a little report on what I most likely would have been doing today just presuming everything is as normal, not your typical tourist trip but lets you see what I am likely to do in Prague and I will try and post a few other virtual reports over the next week that I was due to be in the city, hopefully it might give you all some ideas to get away from the tourist throngs.
I would have had a very early start today as my flight was due to leave at 6.00am and would be arriving in Prague about 9.20 local time.

this is were I would have been staying out in the Prague 6 area and an area I know very well though I have not stayed in this hotel before but it is close to tram and metro as well as numerous restaurants and bars.
My first stop is usually Letna Park beer garden
http://pragueoffthemap.com/drinks/letna-beer-garden.html,
it opens at 11.00am and I have often had the first pour of the day there , the views over the city are quite stunning and it is lovely to sit there and just breath in the city.
I am travelling with my good friend Andy and meeting up with my friend Steve from Kansas City ,we met many years ago at a beer festival in Prague and have become great friends , even our families are friends and they have visited my home in Scotland twice. (Steve is a retired Airline worker so still gets plenty of free flights).
we are due to meet him at his hotel , https://www.viennahouse.com/en/diplomat-prague/the-hotel/overview.html.
Great hotel that I have stayed in several times and all recently renovated ,it is only one tram stop from where Andy and I are staying and right on the tram stop and about 100 yards to the metro.
We are meeting him at the hotel about 12.30 pm so he can freshen up and then go out for lunch together.
We get on the metro system go a few stops and change lines and head to Ladvi metro (seriously only takes about 20 minutes)
and will be going to Cobolis a favourite Micro brewery .This place only opened less that 2 years ago and has become a real Go To place for us.

Food in here is very good and the beer made in house is excellent, service is pretty good too.
we will head back to our hotel so we can check in properly and meet later for a couple of late afternoon beers in Jistota , https://www.praguebeergarden.com/pubs/post/pivni-jistota-craft-beer-pub-prague
Specialising in craft beer from around the country they always have about 6 beers on constantly rotating.
Time for a little break from the beer and we have an early evening stroll through nearby Stramovka park. https://www.prague.eu/en/articles/stromovka-park-pragues-central-park-14816
We are meeting my friend Martin for an evening meal in Pod Juliskou. https://www.podjuliskou.cz/en/. a real favourite place that does superb beer and food of a quality far higher than you would expect, menus are usually seasonal and as in is the start of Asparagus season I am expecting a few dishes based round that.
A few beers (unpasteurised Gambinus, ) https://www.prazdroj.cz/en/znacka/gambrinus it is quite superb.
by 10pm we are totally exhausted and ready for bed ,so tram up the hill (about 3 stops) and we are back at the hotel for about 10.30.
hope you like this little virtual report
