Is the Mandarin Oriental worth the splurge? Is the location a good location for overall tourism sites? We will be in Prague 13-17 August 2017

There are MANY MANY nice places to stay in Prague. If money is no object to you then I guess it really doesn't matter. However, I would much prefer to stay in one of the smaller boutique hotels.

I wouldn't want to be stuck in Mala Strana in August. You've have to run the gauntlet of the bridge multiple times a day to get anywhere. I would much prefer to be tucked in on a side street in Old or New Town.
Try the Hotel Leonardo, the Boho or the Hotel Unitas.
