Terezin

We will be in Prague in September and would like to book a trip to Terezin. Recommendations? We would like a small group if possible...or private if necessary.
Anyone have experience with NinaPrague Guide? or Explore Prague? or Wittmann Tours?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks

We will be in Prague in September as well. After receiving recommendations from relatives who were there last summer, we booked a Terezin Tour with Pavel Batel. www.terezin-private-tours.com. or [email protected]. We are taking the semi-private tour. Maximum of 8 people. 6-7 hours. Pavel will meet us at our hotel. This tour has also been highly recommended on the RS Forum. On another day we are taking a tour of Jewish Prague with his colleague Yvonne. We are looking forward to these unique tours. For more information check RS search engine "Pavel Batel."

I've been to Terezin twice (2007 and 2016) with Wittmann Tours, which I highly recommend. Both times, the guide was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. Would recommend asking for "Helen", who wrote a book with her husband about a Terezin survivor, and guided us on the latter tour.

Another vote for Pavel Batel. He is passionate and scholarly -- as well as charming. Based on tips from this Forum, on the ride back to Prague we asked about his family's experience, if any, with Terezin and Judaism in the CR. His family's story is fascinating and it takes only a gentle inquiry to get him to share it. Don't be shy; I suspect it's not a part of his prepared tour commentary, but when asked, he'll relate an amazing tale. Prague was beautiful, the locals charming, the beer excellent: but our day with Pavel was most memorable.

I will also enthusiastically recommend Pavel Batel. We took a day trip to Terezin last year with him and it was life-changing for myself, my boyfriend and my children. His passion and knowledge make this trip unforgettable. We were in a group of 8.
