I will be in Prague in mid May and am looking for an affordable small group tour ( not private and not big bus) for a day trip from Prague. Like small towns and villages but open to other spots. Any tours or tour companies you recommend? I am also visiting Salzburg Vienna and would appreciate recommendations for small group tours from those places. Thank you!
This doesn't meet your small group requirement, but will share that last summer I arranged for various tours and drivers for a small group of work colleagues. I used personalpragueguide.com which was in the Rick Steves book. Jana will email with you directly and customize whatever you need. Our private tour of Prague was arranged to meet at our hotel, we chose the length of time (so if on a budget you could keep it to their minimum) but she quoted me for 1 - 2 people about $40 US per hour and I think 4 hours is their minimum/what you need to see the major sites. And if looking for a day trip, she also arranged a driver to get us to Cesky Krumlov which is a very cool town to walk around for the day - no need for a guide. And the driver waited for us to tour the city and drove us to our next town we needed for work. Again, Jana is great and might have options for you. They require payment in cash to the guide/driver, so you need to plan for that.
