Curious if there is a shuttle service to Plizen, or just either the train or the bus services? Anyone who has stayed over night in Plizen, can you recommend a hotel? we will be there 3-4 nights. Thanks

i use the train between both cities a few times a year, takes about 90 minutes and is very cheap, taxis available outsided the train station to get you anywhere you need to go. Can't help with hotels

Thanks Uncle Gus for the information. Do you happen to know how convenient it is to get to the train station from Prague Airport? And should we purchase our train tickets ahead of time. Do you happen to know the website for the train system/schedule?

I'm reading about the Airport Express buses. Wondering if that is what we would use to get from the airport to the train station.
I also noticed that the Regiojet train is not a direct service but makes stops. Which train service provides the 90 minute ride from Prague to Plizen? Thanks

Look up the web shop of Czech Rail: https://www.cd.cz/en/default.htm. There are at least hourly trains and tickets are cheap.

the airport express bus runs every 30 minutes and take you right to the main train station takes about 40 minutes. don't know the cost but not a lot. I am on my travels at the moment (Lanzarote ) and have very limited computer access at the moment.
