Sharing Shuttle from Airport to Hotel Metamorphis/Old Town on Saturday, September 10

Anyone want to share the cost of a minibus from the Prague airport to the Hotel Metamorphis in Old Town on Saturday evening, September 10?

My wife and I will be arriving in Prague on Saturday, September 10 at 18:15h...a few days before starting on the Best of Eastern Europe Tour that starts on the following Monday.

We'll be staying Saturday and Sunday evening at the Hotel Metamorphis, the Tour Hotel in Old Town, and would like to know if anyone would like to share the cost of a minibus with us.

The Hotel can send a car for the two of us for 750 CZK / 30 Eur OR send a minibus that can hold up to 8 people for 1150 CZK / 46 Eur.

Please let us know.

BTW, IF you are arriving early for the tour and want to stay at Hotel Metamorphis...contact the hotel directly, mention that you're on the Rick Steve's Tour, and they'll give you a slightly better rate than what is posted on their website. Their contact information is on the Hotel Information sheet that we were sent last week.

I would just have the hotel arrange the transport. That is what we did last fall and it worked just fine. Trying to coordinate with other tour members is not likely to work. For one thing, very few RS tour members know about/use this forum. Secondly, flights can be delayed and luggage lost etc. This means that there may end up being a multi-hour gap of arrivals amongst people expecting to share. The Metamorphis arranged our transport, it was a very fair price, our driver waited patiently while we took care of filing a claim for lost luggage and he got us to the hotel safely and efficiently. You will be very impressed with the hotel and the staff,and the location of the hotel is superb. The Italian restaurant next door (the restaurant basement is where you will have your breakfast and first tour meeting) is excellent quality food for a very reasonable price. We used it the day of arrival and it was so nice for our jet-lagged selves to just be steps away from our room after dinner.

If you're being cost-conscious, then I would advise to you take the Airport Express bus from the airport directly to Namesti Republiky. The bus will drop you 450m away from your hotel, literally a five minute walk. See a map here. The bus costs 60czk per person.
