Seeking Hotel Validation

Hi Friends,

I'm using IHG points during my upcoming trip and had enough for my three nights at the Holiday Inn Prague Congress Centre. I realize this is pretty south of the action area but it does seem easy enough to get to/from. Anyone have any experience with the property? There is an InterContinental more centrally located but the points are 3x higher. I don't currently have enough and they may not have availability by the time I do.

If you have stayed in the Congress Centre area, please share your pro/con thoughts as well as any tips from your time there.

As always, your help is appreciated.

I have not stayed there but you will be fine, it is only a few minutes walk from Vysehrad metro wich gets you into the centre in a few minutes.
Vysehrad itself is a few minutes walk from the hotel and a lovely place to visit with great views over the river to the castle area, plenty of places to have meals or drinks nearby but as it is only minutes on the metro to the centre then you really should not have a problem.if you are getting a great deal then go for it, I certainly would be happy to stay in the area.

We spent three nights in this area last June. If you like Asian food, Yam Yam Restaurant is right by the Vysehrad metro station-very good food for lunch and dinner! The Metro trains run frequently (and late) so it's easy to get to and from central Prague. It's a short walk to the Basilica of Sts Peter and Paul and the adjoining cemetery. You'll be in Prague-enjoy!

Well, I will take those replies as very credible validation. Thank you, Both!

I researched and researched but sometimes you just want another human to verify the stuff you read online.

Much appreciated.
