Sedlec ossuary compared to Capuchin Crypt in Rome

Can anybody speak to how these two places are similar or different? I'm hoping to get a size comparison. I've been to the Crypt in Rome and am trying to decide if it's worth it to spend the time outside Prague to see this site. I feel like all the photos I see of the Kutna Hora site are all the same photo, which males me wonder if there isn't really much to see.

I've been to Kutna Hora and I personally don't feel that the trip was worth it.

I have been to both places. I think the Sedlec ossuary is slightly smaller than the crypt in Rome, though honestly I can't remember. I still thought it was interesting to see. I took a day tour that also visited other sites in Kutna Hora and I especially enjoyed the church and town square. However if you have limited time in Prague (3 days or less) I wouldn't take away time from seeing things there.

I have been to both. Specifically for the crypt I don't think there is much in it for size just the layout is different. As CL said, maybe a bit smaller but Sedlec is definitely darker. I much preferred the arrangement of bones at Sedlec because it's a family crypt so everything is arranged to create very artistic exhibits related to the Rosenberg family. The Capuchin crypt feels much more religious. But it's a mistake to go to Kutna Hora only for the ossuary. You should be going there to experience a provincial Czech town with a lot of history and during the trip you generally enjoy the ossuary, cathedral, mint and in summer, the riverside. You cannot take your own photos at Sedlec so you'll be ready to go after 10-15 mins hence why it should be included in a wider exploration of the town.

We visited KH. We were well and truly finished with the ossuary in 10, 15 minutes max. The town is pretty and we walked around a few hours. From the ossuary into town was, as I recall, a rather long and uninspired walk. I think we skipped a shuttle and regretted it. We had almost a week in Prague, but had it been fewer days I think I’d have skipped it in hindsight. I think we passed Tabor on the train journey and I wondered if we should’ve gone there. Safe travels. I was in Karlovy Vary years ago, but I’m not sure that’s a day trip.
