We are beginning the RS Central Europe Tour in Prague this April on Sunday the 27th. I'm wondering if anyone on here is also doing that tour and would be interested in sharing a tour guide for the Jewish Quarter with us. The one Im looking at is $40 USD an hour for up to 4 people. Sounds like the tour would last about 4 hours. We are arriving the Thursday before the tour so we could do the tour on Friday or Saturday.

I had RS tour guide, Jana Hronkova, for my Jewish Quarter private tour last April 2024. She is very knowledgeable and personable. She’s the best.

Regardless, I would encourage the tour. My daughter and I explored the area without a guide, and I felt we really missed a lot. There are so many impressive-and sobering- sites.

I was in Prague and absolutely must share my 5-star experience with Bat-El Tours, an organization specializing in Jewish history in the Czech Republic. We had an unforgettable tour of Jewish Quarter with Yvonne Penkakova, a young, passionate scholar, whose deep knowledge and engaging storytelling brought the Jewish Quarter to life. We also visited Terezín Ghetto with Pavel Batel which was a life changing experience. I can’t express how grateful I am to have experienced these visits with such experts.
I’ve heard from friends who toured with larger groups like Vikings that their visits felt somewhat superficial, lacking the depth of knowledge and sensitivity. If you’re considering a Jewish Quarter tour, I highly recommend reaching out to them—you’ll get an insightful, personal, and truly meaningful experience!
