Return trip from a very remote town in Czech Republic

Hi all,
My husband and I are planning a day trip from Prague to a small, remote town called Opařany, near Tábor. Since Opařany is about a 20-minute drive from Tábor, our plan is to take a train from Prague to Tábor and then find a taxi from Tábor to Opařany.

Our main concern is whether we will be able to find a taxi in Opařany for the return trip to Tábor. Given how small and remote the town is, we're unsure if taxis operate there regularly. We know that Uber is available in the Czech Republic, but we’re not sure how reliable it is outside major cities.

We want to visit Opařany because my husband's ancestor was from there, and we’re hoping to possibly find his grave. We understand that there isn’t much to see in Opařany, so we expect to spend about one to two hours exploring before returning to Tábor.

If you have any suggestions or experiences with similar trips, especially regarding transportation in remote areas, we’d love to hear your advice.

Thank you.

ask the taxi driver who takes you there if she's willing to come back for you.

Tabor is a nice little town to spend some of your time, it is about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station to the Old part of the town, much of the old wall are retained as well as a tower which is a medieval museum, There is also another museum based on the Hussite wars and from there and underground tour can be take which is very interesting. plenty of bars cafes and restaurants for meals and refreshments.

Thank you for the great information UncleGus! I am excited to explore Tabor now. I don't know anything about the Hussite wars, so will definitely look into the history to be ready for the museum!
