Restaurants in Prague - December

We will be going to Prague Dec. 7-11. Then on the morning of the 11th traveling down to Nuremburg to start a Danube river cruise.

So while in Prague we will be visiting all areas (and marrying one couple while there) - so looking for good restaurants - in all price ranges. We want to do something nice on the day the one couple gets married and while walking around quick lunches and nice dinners. Will also want to look at breakfast - which can be bakeries or sit down.

We are staying at the Old Town Hilton because that is the hotel the river cruise is using and we don't want to change hotels in the middle of our stay.

I've noted the restaurants already listed on other sites - but wondered if there are others?

Thanks for your help. Carolyn

is it the Hilton in V Celnici if so you really are spoilt for choice for places to have breakfast or a meal.
I love the nearby Municiple house several restaurants cafes and bars inside, for sheer opulence it is hard to beat but you have everything from stabucks upwards in the area. Not an area I eat or drink in very often but Kotleta on Truhlarska was pretty good on my last visit a couple of months ago, very czech style food but in a more modern style.

this is a place on the river ,less than a 10 minute walk from where you are, opened earlier this year and is actually a boat on the river with it's own brewery on board.my new favourite place in the city, food is very good and beer excellent also some of the best service I have had in the Czech republic, really nice staff.
menu is quite small but what they do is great.

yes,it is a little bit different. I am back in Prague for New year so will make another visit. I took a friend there for his birthday in July and he loved it as did the others in the party. The duck there is superb the best I have ever had in the Czech republic and I have been travelling there for 25 years eating duck on most occasions.Last time I had the rabbit with pork belly in a barley and pea risotto which was outstanding. The styles of their beers changes with the season and what is available but it is all very good.

Dlouhá Street is not so far and you have so many occasions to taste "CZ" (Naše maso, O´pappa, wine, chocolate small breads...)
